The Google admin console also doesn’t work unless you get the enterprise CloudReady add-on. Regardless of the sercuity patches that the 32-bit no Longer gets I'm sure the one will be fine cause Chrome OS is Linux and I haven't heard of any break in's for some time ATM I'm seeing if CR will update to the last version of the 32-bit version.

Because the CloudReady install wasn’t supported by Google, some of the more advanced features of Chrome OS are missing. Nordward Selects Cameyo and Neverware to Transition to Chrome OS. It’s basically just Chromium OS plus some additional management features, and Neverware sells it to schools and businesses who want to run Chrome OS on their existing hardware. CloudReady can be installed on almost any x86 hardware, giving you the flexibility to deploy the Chrome environment on the devices that make sense for your om everyday laptops and desktops to specialized form factors, like ruggedized devices. A company named Neverware takes this open source code and creates a product called Neverware CloudReady. It doesn’t matter whether your computers are just out of the box, a few years old, or even 10 years old. What Neverware has been doing is using the open source version of the Chrome operating system, known as Chromium OS, to create a Chrome-OS-like experience and then support it with ongoing updates. Neverware’s customers will see tangible benefits from the Google acquisition. However, like Chrome, Chrome OS is based on an open source project named Chromium OS.
There are no details on that right now, but the company does say that the release cadence of CloudReady will be realigned to match Google’s Chrome OS release cycle on devices that ship with Chrome OS. It promises to seamlessly transition customers to whatever model Google decides to pursue. Based on Google’s Chromium OS, the same open-source architecture as Chrome OS, CloudReady gives you the power of the web - without the weight or risk that accompany traditional operating systems. CloudReady transforms your organization’s computers so they’re secure, easy to manage, and never slow down. According to Neverware, Google’s acquisition of the company means this product will be officially supported in the future. Neverware is the New York-based developer of the CloudReady operating system. The company says Google will honor all multi-year subscriptions, but there are no changes planned to the tiers right now. Currently, Neverware offers a free home tier and two paid tiers that come with support and remote management.
